DAY 5 - 28 Day Cleanse (Denise Linn's program)

DAY 5 (Air): Clutter - Energy Up / Energy Down
The Spirit of Air relates to the mental aspect of ourselves, and it also relates to organization, clarity, focus, and being able to see afar. When we release our clutter we can open the space for a new vitality to surge into our lives. Remember, clutter brings our energy down. If we don't love it or use it, release it.
Affirmation for the Day
"Fresh, invigorating energy fills my life."
Today
(If possible, do the exercise outside.) Close your eyes and connect with the Spirit of Air. Feel the air around you, where it touches your face and body. Imagine you are aware of the air within you. Air is not only in your lungs, it is in every one of your cells, oxygenating and cleansing them. Then take deep, slow breaths, imagining that you are filling your body-and your life-with sparkling, invigorating vitality.
Every object in our homes will bring our energy up, take it down, or be neutral, even if we are not consciously aware of it. We need to send our awareness into every area of our home and take note of any areas that need to be worked on. For example, if looking at a beautiful vase reminds you of the argument you had with your spouse previously to buying the vase, looking at the vase is subconsciously associated with the argument and brings your energy down. Find a way so that the vase can bring your energy back up, or get rid of it.
Answering yes or no to the statements below can help with the process.
1. Bedroom
* I wear the clothes in my closet. In other words, I do not have stacks of clothes that I never wear because:
- they do not fit but might someday,
- I paid a lot for them,
- they might come back in style,
- they were a special gift.
* I feel satisfied with the organization of my bedroom and bedroom closet.
* The space beneath my bed is clear.
2. Bathroom
* I only keep medications, perfumes and creams in my bathroom that have been used within the last year and are not past their due date.
* The bathroom cupboards and the areas beneath the sink are clutter free.
3. Kitchen
* The appliances are in good repair.
* The kitchen counters, cupboards, and floors are clean.
* The food in the cupboards is less than a year old.
4. General Home
* My home is in good repair (no cracked windows, faulty plumbing, leaking roof, and so on).
* I do not haves piles of unread newspapers and magazines.
* I do not have spare parts to things that are unknown to me.
* I do not have stacks of broken things that I have been meaning to fix.
* I only buy things that I need (and not what I already have but have forgotten about).
* I complete the projects I start. (There are no unfinished projects lying around.)
5. Vehicle
* My vehicle is in good repair.
* I change the oil regularly.
* I periodically rotate the tires and have a tune-up.
* My car is clutter free.
6. Desk/Office
* My desktop is organized and clear.
* My papers are neat and filed.
* Piles of papers on my desk stay no longer than two weeks.
* My bills are paid, and/or I have a plan to pay them.
* I am debt free.
* I spend my money wisely.
* I am up-to-date with my taxes and/or have a plan to pay them.
* My computer files are only the ones I need and use.
* I de-clutter my files periodically.
Reviewing your answers will give you a clear sense of those areas that need some clutter-clearing. As you clear the clutter, affirm, "I travel forward in my life easily and effortlessly". When finished, celebrate!
Good luck and see you on Day 6:)
