DAY 8 - WATER WEEK - 28 Day Cleanse (Denise Linn's program)

WATER WEEK - Clearing Your Emotional Self
Water traditionally represents emotions, so this week is dedicated to clearing and cleansing the emotional self. It is not uncommon to have emotional issues from the past surface. Remember, you are letting go of old patterns that do not serve you anymore.
Drink lots of water this week as it is one of the best ways to detoxify your body. Notice the water around you and within you. When you take a bath or shower, visualize negative patterns and thoughts like guilt, resentment, and fear swirling down the drain.

DAY 8 (Water): Exploring the Turning Points in Your Life
Perhaps you know people who suppress anger. There is tension within them that is uncomfortable for everyone around them. When we own and honor all our emotions, there is a deep inner peace that arises within us.
When we tell the truth about what we feel, we experience inner peace.
Affirmation for the Day
"I unconditionally accept my feelings...and what I feel is not who I am."
Today
Connect with the spirit of water. When you drink, feel your body being hydrated and cleansed. Imagine that you are drinking rainwater or fresh, cold springwater. Cleanse your body with water. To do this, first dry brush your skin, then shower or bathe, and rinse with invigorating cold water. You'll step out of the shower/bath glowing.
What were the turning points in your life?
Take time to think about your past and locate one of your own turning points. Write down the emotions that you felt during that pivotal time in your journal and also note the decision that you made about yourself or about life based on that moment.
What have you learned during the turning points in your life?
Write what you learned about yourself or about life during each of those times. Even if the event seemed like a negative one, really look to see what you gained or discovered about yourself as a result of that event.
What are the recurring emotions of your life?
Sometimes life seems like a rerun because we can get stuck with one or two emotions and then rerun them over and over again. Notice the recurring pattern and affirm: "I accept all of my emotions."
Enjoy today and see you on Day 9:)
