DAY 8 - WATER WEEK - 28 Day Cleanse (Denise Linn's program)

May 12, 2013
WATER WEEK - Clearing Your Emotional Self

Water traditionally represents emotions, so this week is dedicated to clearing and cleansing the emotional self. It is not uncommon to have emotional issues from the past surface. Remember, you are letting go of old patterns that do not serve you anymore.

Drink lots of water this week as it is one of the best ways to detoxify your body.  Notice the water around you and within you.  When you take a bath or shower, visualize negative patterns and thoughts like guilt, resentment, and fear swirling down the drain.

During Water Week
  • explore your emotional life
  • cleanse your house, office and car
  • evaluate your relationships
  • communicate from your heart, especially the things that you have been afraid to say
  • encourage your inner child to play
  • embrace your childlike wonder
  • examine childhood issues
  • explore your dreams
  • follow your intuition
  • bathe, shower, soak - cleanse your body
  • check your plumbing (dripping faucets, clogged drains and so forth)
  • stand in the rain, jump in a lake, roll in the snow (depending on where you are) and experience the spirit of wate.r
DAY 8 (Water): Exploring the Turning Points in Your Life
Perhaps you know people who suppress anger.  There is tension within them that is uncomfortable for everyone around them.  When we own and honor all our emotions, there is a deep inner peace that arises within us.
When we tell the truth about what we feel, we experience inner peace.

Affirmation for the Day
"I unconditionally accept my feelings...and what I feel is not who I am."

Today
Connect with the spirit of water.  When you drink, feel your body being hydrated and cleansed.  Imagine that you are drinking rainwater or fresh, cold springwater. Cleanse your body with water.  To do this, first dry brush your skin, then shower or bathe, and rinse with invigorating cold water.  You'll step out of the shower/bath glowing.

What were the turning points in your life?
Take time to think about your past and locate one of your own turning points.  Write down the emotions that you felt during that pivotal time in your journal and also note the decision that you made about yourself or about life based on that moment.
What have you learned during the turning points in your life?
Write what you learned about yourself or about life during each of those times.  Even if the event seemed like a negative one, really look to see what you gained or discovered about yourself as a result of that event.
What are the recurring emotions of your life?
Sometimes life seems like a rerun because we can get stuck with one or two emotions and then rerun them over and over again. Notice the recurring pattern and affirm: "I accept all of my emotions."

Enjoy today and see you on Day 9:)

DAY 7 (Air):  Exploring Your Soul Mission In Life

Affirmation for the Day
"Who I am is enough."

Today
You are here on the planet for a reason.  Ask yourself, "Why am I here?"  Watch for signs and synchronicities for the remainder of the day.  You might hear your messages through the "coincidental" songs played on the radio, through the conversations of the people next to you in line at the store, or through spontaneous thoughts that pop into your head. Ask yourself, "If this event had a message, ...

DAY 6 (Air): Lightening Up - Letting Go While Doing More Clutter-Clearing

In Tibetan Buddhism, they believe that when you organize and clear your physical environment, then "drala" (or magic) can enter your life.  If your space is messy and chaotic, then no drala will descend into it.  This is the day to clear your internal clutter.

Affirmation for the Day
"I am safe and centered no matter where I am."

Today
Take time to relax; listen to soothing music; and read inspiring quotes, poems, or passage...

DAY 5 (Air): Clutter - Energy Up / Energy Down

The Spirit of Air relates to the mental aspect of ourselves, and it also relates to organization, clarity, focus, and being able to see afar. When we release our clutter we can open the space for a new vitality to surge into our lives.  Remember, clutter brings our energy down.  If we don't love it or use it, release it.

Affirmation for the Day
"Fresh, invigorating energy fills my life."

Today
(If possible, do the exercise outside.) Close your eyes an...

DAY 4 - 28 Day Cleanse (Denise Linn's program)

May 9, 2013
DAY 4 - (Air):  Where are we now in our lives?

This is where we notice old patterns, old stuff, and blocks that come to the surface.  Remember, we are not our identity. It's time to examine the ego, self-concept, beliefs and rules about our lives.  Observe with a sense of humor.

Affirmation
"I love and accept who I am, and who I am is enough."

Today
Observe your life while you hold the thought that the events of your life today are neither good nor bad - they are just the events of the day.  They ...

Day 3 (Air):  Clearing Clutter in Your Bedroom/Bathroom

The bathroom, bedroom or bedroom closet are the personal areas of the home that often relate to personal areas of your life.  The bedroom is where you dream, rejuvenate, and have intimate relationships, so there are often metaphors within the bedroom that relate to your inner life.  Let go of things that represent people and old relationships that you no longer feel connected to and if you choose to hold onto things, organize the things f...

Wild Heart Wellness moves to Calgary, AB

May 5, 2013
After weighing the pros and cons of leaving Vancouver Island, my husband and I took an opportunity for growth in Calgary, Alberta.  What a wonderful transition!  Yes, Vancouver Island is beautiful with its moderate climate and greenery for most of the year, but Calgary has been giving us the most beautiful sunrises.  The sunsets are also very beautiful but we tend to see the sunrises more.  This sunrise image is looking out past our back yard from our kitchen table.  I realize this post has n...

About the Owner

Karen Karen helps women who are facing challenges in their health. She grew up farming and ranching with her family in southern Alberta for many years before she ventured out to Vancouver Island to study natural health. Studying and practicing natural health helped her uncover her passion in life - to help each unique individual feel better physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. From there she was able to take what she knew to teach others, empowering them to help themselves, and the people around them. With the support of her family she was able to follow her dream and eleven years later she returned to Alberta where she shares her passion of natural health with her home province.
